The Mae Tao Clinic needs your support to keep treating patients in Thailand-Burma border communities!
The Mae Tao Clinic in Mae Sot, Thailand provides free healthcare for refugees, migrant workers, and families who cross the border from Burma to Thailand. The clinic provides a variety of health services as well as operates a school system for children of migrant workers. Nurses and midwives at the Mae Tao Clinic provide consultations to over 100,000 patients and deliver over 2,000 babies every year. They also provide nutritious meals to over 2,000 boarding students every day.
Unfortunately, international governments are no longer funding Thailand-Burma border communities, and Mae Tao Clinic is struggling to continue to support their patients and students. Programs are being cut, staff salaries are being reduced, but people in these communities still rely on Mae Tao Clinic's services. GreaterGood.org is now the single largest funder of the Mae Tao Clinic, and we need your support to make sure it stays open.
