We need your help to send urgently needed supplies to people and pets affected by historical storms and flooding.
Unstable weather patterns, resulting in tornadoes and flooding, have ravaged through the Midwest and South, creating catastrophic structural damage, resulting in death and injuries, and displacing countless of people and animals from their homes.
In the past few weeks, flooding and tornadoes have caused severe damage in the Midwest and Southeast region of the country. Historically heavy rain has flooded the Arkansas River and The Mississippi River, reaching historically high levels. Evacuations are underway in several locations, and flood watches and warnings have been issued across Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, and parts of Nebraska and Iowa. These record-breaking floods are expected to continue to inundate communities leaving people and pets in dire need of shelter and essential supplies.
In an effort to protect the lives of those by these events, GreaterGood.org is supporting human relief by feeding displaced families in Missouri and setting up more feeding programs in Dayton, Ohio after a devastating tornado. With help from our partners and donors, we're shipping in pallets of pet food, leashes, collars and crates and much-needed medical supplies to areas affected. We're also sending cash grants to support water animal search and rescue teams. Our efforts have reached as far south as Louisiana to prepare our partners as the storms expand.
More storms are forecast throughout the Midwest and beyond in the coming days. We need YOUR help now!
